The Grascals’ performance benefits Martin Center
By Carole Robinson, Senior Staff Writer
The 8th Annual Music and Memories at the Franklin Theatre to benefit the Martin Center senior center and the FiftyForward programs provided at the center, featured country-bluegrass artists The Grascals, and the bluegrass band Donna Ulisse and The Poor Mountain Boys.
“It’s hard to believe, but 25 percent of the seniors in Williamson County live below or at the federal poverty level,” said Harry Chapman, moderator of the event.
FiftyForward provides health, well-being and lifelong learning programs, which provide pathways to enriching the lives of seniors at two Williamson County locations – the Martin Center and College Grove.
