Hard Bargains Tys House celebrates first anniversary

In March 2012, while on a mission trip in Texas, 18-year old Ty Osman II, “Ty2,” stopped to check on traveling companions in another vehicle that had been rear-ended. While re- entering his own vehicle Ty was tragically killed.

In memory of his Ty2’s nature and character, Osman family and friends created the Ty2 Foundation. The service foundation’s first project was to transform the former Mt. Hope Cemetery caretaker’s cottage into a community center for the residents of the Hard Bargain community.

The Hard Bargain Community Center – now Ty’s House, is a gathering place with a picnic area and playground.

Hard Bargain Community invites the public to an open house and lunch to celebrate the first anniversary of Ty’s House to be held Saturday, Aug. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 608 Mt. Hope St. in Franklin. RSVP for lunch at ashley@hardbargain.org.
