Nine Lives for $9 helps cat adoption at WCAC

A special cat and kitten adoption promotion, “Nine Lives for $9,” is being offered at Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center (WCAC), 106 Claude Yates Dr.

Any cat or kitten can be adopted for just $9, effective immediately.

Kitten season is in full swing, and the adoption center at the shelter has an abundance of beautiful kittens and cats of every variety: short hairs, long hairs, tabby cats, black cats, tortoise shells and more.

Shelter director, Laura Chavarria, even has a litter of four kittens housed in her office.

"These little kittens are so cute, and would make such wonderful pets," Chavarria said.

“The 'Nine Lives for $9' promotion is a great opportunity to get a pet.”

The 'normal' cat adoption fee is $50.

"We will send you home with a cute, cuddly kitten and a free supply of starter food," she stated. "All the kittens have had their shots and vaccinations, and the $9 fee also includes spay or neuter and micro-chipping."

“Cats can conceive as early as the age of four months and can produce multiple litters in a year. All cats adopted at our facility are spade and neutered at about three months before they are taken home,” said Debbie Sims, public information assistant.
WCAC will bring kittens tomorrow to The Shoppes on Main adoption event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or the public can come to the shelter. The adoption center is open Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 615-790-5590 or
