The Farm at Natchez Trace hosted final training sessions and graduation this past weekend for disabled people who received service dogs. The dogs have been trained specifically by prisoners through Serving with Canines to help each person with his or her particular health problems.
Four people received the assistance dogs from Retrieving Independence. Andrew Booker received Rex; Moriah McMurtry received Jet; Jenny Kelly received Raven; and Sarah Rutherford received Noir.
The Farm at Natchez Trace, a unique pet lodging, grooming, training and daycare facility and pet boutique, is located at 9479 Highway 96 West in Franklin.
