Langley signs book, sheds light on poverty at Spring Hill Library

On Saturday, Franklin-native Bobby Langley signed his new book, Ruby’s Son: A Journey From Poverty to Peace at the Spring Hill Library. He spoke to the audience about his experience growing up from poverty-stricken in Franklin to high school basketball star and eventually successful Williamson County business owner.
“I knew that one day I wanted to tell my story,” Langley said.
At the signing, Langley told about a day when he was a little boy that he didn’t have enough food in the house to make a sack lunch for a school field trip. “I didn’t tell anyone that story until I was 63,” he said.
Now, Langley is committed to shedding light upon the issue of poverty and how it affects those who live within its grasp.
Further appearances by Langley will be announced.
