High Hopes set to move this weekend with community help

Carole Robinson
High Hopes Therapeutic Preschool is preparing to make the move to their new location at 301 High Hopes Court.

This weekend members of the community will help High Hopes Inclusive Preschool and Pediatric Therapy Clinic move from Mallory Lane to its new 14,400 square-foot facility located on High Hopes Court in the Creekstone off Royal Oaks Drive.

“I think this new facility is wonderful,” said Caren Williams, High Hopes Board president. “The children will be well-served and parents will be ecstatic when they see this new facility.”

According to Executive Director Gail Powell, “The architect left no stone unturned to meet the needs of the kids.”

Several features will set this complex apart.

A covered entry into the facility.

Pods with four spacious classrooms and an open area for therapy or group activities.

Doors to accommodate children with unique needs.

Several individual treatment rooms.

Two large treatment rooms.

An enhanced playground.

All of these features are huge for children with mobility issues, Williams added.

“This building is almost 30 years in coming,” Powell said. “It’s very special.”

The school and clinic will reopen on Jan. 23.
