Attendees at ‘top-notch’ Legacy Ball enjoy festive night while raising funds for Haley Sue Foundation

The Haley Sue Foundation’s second annual Legacy Ball Heels & Bow Ties event was just what the organizers were seeking for the young nonprofit.

Held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Franklin last Saturday night, the sold-out Legacy Ball featured cocktails and appetizers, a four-course dinner, and a live auction, as well as an online silent auction, casino experience, dancing and much more. The event was considered a “huge success” by board members.

“Our Legacy Ball is top notch,” said Kim Stone, president of The Haley Sue Foundation and chair of the Legacy Ball. “From the decorations, to the selection of vendors such as our photographer, Molly Boulay of Boulay Photography, we select only the best of the best — because we are celebrating one of most amazing human beings most of us will ever meet in our life time, Haley Sue Pearson Hubert. 

“Everything we do is in honor of Haley Sue. We expect our event next year to be bigger and better, and we are already making plans!”

Haley Sue Pearson lost her life tragically on Dec. 6, 2020, while running to the aid of a friend on the interstate. Since then, Haley’s parents, Stacy and Pam Pearson of Franklin, started a nonprofit in her name to continue to spread the light and love Haley Sue gave to so many.   

Since then, the foundation has given away college scholarships, Christmas gifts for over 100 children and families in Kentucky and Tennessee. They are preparing a weekend of community service to the flood victims in Hazard, Kentucky, in February.
