      Williamson County Animal Center is the first animal shelter in the United States to receive designation from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as a StormReady Supporter facility.

      FRANKLIN – Local Franklin hometown radio station WAKM AM-950 has announced that Tuesday’s high school softball game featuring Brentwood visiting Centennial will be broadcast live, presented by Jet's Pizza.

      FRANKLIN – East Nashville High School head football coach Jamaal Stewart, who has taken his last two teams to the TSSAA Class 3A BlueCross Bowl state championship game, will be taking over the program at Centennial. The Franklin school announced the move Thursday morning.

      Police officer-2 Rose Steagall joined the Franklin Police Department on Nov. 22, 2004. Rose’s service to her fellow citizens, however, began during her earlier career as a paramedic. Friday begins her new chapter.
